PubMed ID: 17883175. Abstract: Congenital amegakaryocytic thrombocytopenia (CAMT) is an uncommon cause of thrombocytopenia in children. Mutations in the thrombopoietin (Tpo) receptor gene C-mpl were found to be the likely cause of thrombocytopenia and complete marrow failure.
