Abstract: The lipomas in the large intestine are uncommon neoplasias of fatty tissue which rarely cause symptoms; nevertheless, when they are larger than 2 cm, they present symptoms. The most frequent symptoms are abdominal pain and rectal bleeding. We report the case of a 48 years old patient, who presents abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and hematochezia. A colonoscopy was performed which showed a tumor that completely occluded the light in the descending colon.
