Abstract: In 2654 aorto-iliac vascular reconstructions (1970-1990) it was necessary to perform 413 repeat operations (15.6%). A total of 231 reinterventions were done for late complications, i.e., after the end of the first postoperative year. The most frequent indications for repeat operation were recurrent stenoses or occlusions (4.5%), followed by anastomotic aneurysms (2.1%), aorto-enteric fistulas (0.7%), perigraft reactions (0.3%) and late infections (0.3%).
