Title: [Intestinal parasites in primary school students]. Author: Coşkun S. Journal: Mikrobiyol Bul; 1991 Oct; 25(4):367-72. PubMed ID: 1795661. Abstract: Five hundred thirty-one stool samples obtained from primary schools. The age range was between 7 and 13 years, 49% of the patients were females an 51% of the patients males. In our study it has been observed that the parasite incidence was 36.9% the predominant parasite was Ascaris lumbricoides (12%), Giardia intestinalis (9%), Hymenolepis nana (7.1%) Entamoeba histolytica (6%) and Trichuris trichiura (2.6%) respectively, we detected six different parasites in the primary school students because of bad social status and environmental conditions.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
