Title: [Clinical evaluation of the middle ear in children after the "end" of treatment of acute otitis media]. Author: Lucić M. Journal: Srp Arh Celok Lek; 1994; 122(11-12):323-5. PubMed ID: 17974408. Abstract: Clinical evaluation of the middle ear was made in 50 children after the end of the treatment of otitits media acuta. On the basis of physical examination and audiometric and tympanometric tests, the author established that the process of the middle ear functional restitutiton nas not appropriate to the clinical treatment of the disease in 39% percent of children. The author came to the conclusion that cessation of subjective disturbances and regular physical findings do not necessarily mean a successfully completed treatment, but that the estimation of the middle ear status should be based on audiometric and tympanometric pindings.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
