Abstract: Evidence on the science of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) in children with cancer is slowly evolving. Most parents of children with cancer want their children to receive state-of-the-art therapy, which generally includes chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. Increasingly, they also want the concomitant use of CAM therapies to help effect a cure or to alleviate symptoms.
