    Abstract:
    A case of giant saccular aneurysm of basilar artery successfully treated by endovascular balloon occlusion is presented. The authors stress the effectiveness of this method in the treatment of an aneurysm which was considered inaccessible for direct surgery due to its localization. Endovascular procedure afforded protection against bleeding as well as regression of neurological deficits.
