Title: [Human relationships in the work environment: lack of self-care among nursing professionals]. Author: Baggio MA. Journal: Rev Gaucha Enferm; 2007 Sep; 28(3):409-15. PubMed ID: 18183703. Abstract: This is an exploratory descriptive study with a qualitative approach aimed at understanding the meaning of self care (or carelessness) among nursing professionals, as well as the relationship between taking care of others and self-care. The subjects were nursing professionals working in the health sector. Data were collected by structured and semi-structured interviews and analyzed according to the content analysis method. Results revealed that there is a lack of communication among members of the multi-professional team. This situation induces interpersonal dissatisfaction and competition in the work environment, leading to lack of self-care among nursing professionals.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
