    Author: Matthesen SK, Pedersen EB.
Journal: Ugeskr Laeger; 2008 Feb 18; 170(8):655. PubMed ID: 18364161.
    Abstract:
A case of nephrogenic fibrosing dermopathy/nephrogen systemic fibrosis is reported in a 60 year-old dialysis patient. Since 1971 he had received three renal grafts. At present he is treated with nocturnal home dialysis five nights a week. In 2005 he had an MR-angiography of a femoro-femoral bypass graft using gadodiamide (Omniscan) as contrast medium. During the following months he had symmetrical thickening, induration and stiffness of the skin on the distal part of the extremities. Extension defects developed in the joints (elbows, wrists, fingers, knees, ankles and toes).
