Title: Spontaneous delivery after hemipelvectomy because of chondrosarcoma: a case report and review of the literature. Author: Heetkamp A, Feijen HW, Papatsonis DN. Journal: Am J Perinatol; 2008 Apr; 25(4):255-8. PubMed ID: 18548402. Abstract: Thirteen patients after hemipelvectomy and subsequent delivery of 18 living children are presented in the literature. Pregnancy following this radical surgical procedure is rare. In modern medicine there will be a place for patients who underwent such a procedure and have a wish for children. We present an additional case of spontaneous delivery in a patient with a hemipelvectomy to the 11 already known and a review of the literature of the past 81 years.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
