Title: [Reconstructive surgery of an upper abdominal aortic coarctation, associated to bilateral renal artery aneurysms. Case report]. Author: Dinis da Gama A, Pedro LM, Gimenez JL, Fernandes RF. Journal: Rev Port Cir Cardiotorac Vasc; 2008; 15(1):43-48. PubMed ID: 18618050. Abstract: The authors report the clinical case of a 13 year old girl with the diagnosis of arterial hypertension, consequence of an upper abdominal aortic coarctation, involving the origin of both renal arteries and the superior mesenteric artery. Surgical exploration disclosed the coexistence of displasic aneurysms at the origin of both renal arteries. She underwent a complex revascularization procedure, which is described, and the post operative course was uneventfull, having normalised the values of the blood pressure. The main features of etiopathogeny, clinical presentation, diagnosis and surgical management of this entity are discussed, based on an extensive review of the literature.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
