Title: [Diarrhea predominant irritable bowel syndrome]. Author: Sabaté JM, Coffin B. Journal: Rev Prat; 2008 Jun 15; 58(11):1194-8. PubMed ID: 18689115. Abstract: The diagnosis of diarrhea predominant irritable bowel syndrome (D-IBS) should be a positive diagnosis, based on Rome criteria, and not a diagnosis of exclusion. However, it is in this situation that investigations are frequently performed. Treatment of D-IBOS is mainly based on antispasmodics and antidiarrheal agents antidepressant agent can be used.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
