Title: [The mechanism of resveratrol on anti-hepatoma Bel-7402 and modulating IL-8 in tumor model mice]. Author: Li T, Wang W, Li T. Journal: Zhong Yao Cai; 2008 May; 31(5):697-702. PubMed ID: 18826146. Abstract: OBJECTIVE: To explore the anti-tumor effect of resveratrol on the hepatocellular carcinoma cell line Bel-7402 both in vitro and in vivo. METHODS: MTT colorimetry was used to measure the tumor cell growth repression rate. The level of Bcl-2 was measured by Western blotting. The cell cycle of Bel-7402 and intracellular IL-8 were analyzed by flow cytometry. The expression of IL-8 mRNA was determined by semiquantitative RT-PCR and quantification assay of IL-8 was determined by ELISA. RESULTS: Our findings indicated that resveratrol inhibited proliferation, induced apoptosis, and influenced cell cycle of Bel-7402 cells at a dose-and time-dependent manner in vitro. Furthermore, resveratrol could exert a dose-related down-regulatory effect on IL-8 in Bel-7402 bearing mice. CONCLUSION: It suggestes resveratrol might have chemotherapeutic potential and immunomodulation action to Bel-7402 to cellular carcinoma both in vitro and in vivo.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
