Title: [Biliary, pancreatic and systemic diseases associated with IgG4]. Author: Frossard JL, Spahr L, Rubbia-Brandt L, Hadengue A. Journal: Rev Med Suisse; 2008 Sep 03; 4(169):1856-8. PubMed ID: 18831404. Abstract: Whereas autoimmune pancreatitis is an established entity characterized by high serum concentrations of IgG4, IgG4 cholangitis is a quite new entity characterized by a massive infiltration of bile ducts by IgG4 positive lymphoplasmocytic cells. IgG4 cholangitis should therefore be differentiated from primary sclerosing cholangitis based on clinics, radiological and biological markers. This paper is aimed at reviewing all new aspects of diseases associated with high levels of IgG4.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
