  • Title: Computed tomography manifestations of brucellosis of the sternoclavicular joint.
    Author: Denath FM.
Journal: Can Assoc Radiol J; 1991 Aug; 42(4):253-6. PubMed ID: 1884255.
    Abstract:
Computed tomography (CT) in three patients with sternoclavicular brucellosis revealed the following features: soft-tissue mass centred around the joint, sclerosis with or without lysis of the periarticular bone, and destruction and irregularity of the cortex of the sternal and clavicular articular surfaces. The CT features, in the appropriate clinical setting, should help in making the correct diagnosis and managing this serious but rare manifestation of brucellosis.
