Title: Respiratory activity in Listeria monocytogenes. Author: Patchett RA, Kelly AF, Kroll RG. Journal: FEMS Microbiol Lett; 1991 Feb; 62(1):95-8. PubMed ID: 1903352. Abstract: Listeria monocytogenes possessed glucose oxidase and NADH oxidase activities in whole cells and lysed protoplasts respectively. The NADH oxidase activity sedimented with the membrane fraction and was inhibited by the respiratory inhibitors rotenone, 2-heptyl-4-hydroxy-quinoline-N-oxide and cyanide, suggesting the presence of a membrane associated respiratory chain.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
