  • Title: [The exfoliation syndrome: report of 9 eyes in 7 patients].
    Author: Zhou PR.
Journal: Zhonghua Yan Ke Za Zhi; 1991 May; 27(3):154-6. PubMed ID: 1914706.
    Abstract:
The clinical and histological manifestations in 7 patients (9 eyes) with the exfoliation syndrome were discussed, including some symptoms and signs that had not been reported before, e.g. the changes in form and locality of the exfoliation material. The author is of the opinion that glaucoma may be related to the exfoliation syndrome, while cataract is not. Therefore, early diagnosis of the syndrome is significant for the prevention and treatment of glaucoma.
