Title: [Diagnostic procedures in patients with known coronary heart disease]. Author: Osswald S, Pfisterer M, Burkart F. Journal: Ther Umsch; 1991 Aug; 48(8):560-6. PubMed ID: 1926016. Abstract: Patients with coronary artery disease can be stratified by noninvasive techniques into risk-groups for further diagnostic and therapeutic management. The prognostic impact of the patient's history, physical examination and ECG are discussed. With this clinical assessment a high-risk group of patients, who should undergo coronary angiography, can be identified. In a low-risk group, further evaluation depends on results of exercise-stress testing. The relative value of exercise ECG, thallium-201-scintigraphy and radionuclide ventriculography in this special clinical setting are discussed in detail.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
