Title: Improved blending of the lid/cheek with modified Gore-Tex knotted cable suspension suture systems. Author: Sasaki GH. Journal: Aesthet Surg J; 2006; 26(6):710-6. PubMed ID: 19338964. Abstract: The author has modified his original Gore-Tex cable-looped suture system by incorporating a series of knots to centralize the larger-sized pulley and by providing added tissue resistance to slippage through the bidirectionally repositioned malar fat pad. These suture modifications offer a safe and effective technique for longer lasting malar fat pad suspension. Although the technique may be performed as an isolated procedure, for optimum results it is combined with conventional procedures of the lower lid and face to achieve blending of the aging face.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
