Title: [Congenital nasal pyriform aperture stenosis]. Author: Llanos D, Ciudad MJ, Crespo E, Arrazola J. Journal: Radiologia; 2009; 51(3):323-6. PubMed ID: 19362321. The most common cause of obstruction is atresia of the choanae; however, other entities such as congenital nasal pyriform aperture stenosis, although rare, must be considered in the differential diagnosis of a newborn that shows signs and symptoms of upper airway compromise. We report two cases of nasal pyriform aperture stenosis seen at our center; we describe the main characteristics of the condition and review the relevant literature.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
