Journal: Khirurgiia (Mosk); 1991 Aug; (8):89-92. PubMed ID: 1942891. Abstract: The object of the work was to appraise clinically the efficacy of electroanalgesia in the postoperative period in children and study the effect of this type of anesthesia on the vital functions of the organism. The purpose of special studies was to objectively reflect the response of central hemodynamics and neurovegetative state as a response to postoperative stress, pain is the main factor. The conducted complex studies showed that the application of transcutaneous electroneuro-stimulation for postoperative analgesia in minor operative interventions activates the antinociceptive system sufficiently rapidly, stabilizes cardiovascular activity and the activity of the sympathetic and parasympathetic parts of the autonomic, nervous system. The information obtained bears evidence that when applied in minor operative interventions the method is an adequate alternative of postoperative medicamentous analgesia in children.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
