Author: De Cicco G, Vizzardi E, Gelsomino S, Lorusso R. Journal: Int J Cardiol; 2009 Nov 12; 137(3):e61-2. PubMed ID: 19439376. Abstract: Aortic regurgitation (AR) and first-degree atrioventricular heart block (FDAVB) are encountered in ankylosing spondylitis (AS). This rheumatological disease also presents in 90% of the cases an immunogenetic marker that is Human Leucocyte Antigen-B27 (HLA-B27). In this report we describe a case of a patient presenting with AR, FDAVB, aneurysm and thinning of the ascending aortic wall, aneurysm of the sinuses of Valsalva and inferior myocardial infarction-like electrocardiographic pattern with unknown cardiac AS and absence of other AS-related systemic manifestations.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
