  • Title: [Late results of surgical treatment of pathology of the cysto- ureteral segment in children].
Author: Grigovich IN, Otvagina GA, Khokhlov AA, Berezhanskaia TI.
Journal: Vestn Khir Im I I Grek; 1990 Oct; 145(10):73-6. PubMed ID: 1964300.
    Abstract:
The authors analyze 124 reimplantations of ureters in 97 patients aged from 6 months to 14 years. Long-term results were followed-up in 84 patients within the period from 2 to 5 years after surgery. A conclusion was made that the main causes of bad and satisfactory results of the operative treatment of the pathology of the bladder-ureter segment are a persistent infection of the urinary system, insufficient observation in the polyclinic after discharge from the hospital and early age of the patients.
