Title: Influence of hyperthermia on experimental viral infections in vitro. Author: Panasiak W, Oraczewska A, Luczak M. Journal: Adv Exp Med Biol; 1990; 267():471-5. PubMed ID: 1965095. Abstract: The effects of hyperthermia (39 and 41 C) on virus multiplication in vitro (HSV-1, VSV on Vero cells and EMC on L929 cells) have been explored. The cells were infected with HSV-1, VSV or EMC viruses and heated to 39 or 41 C before, during or after the viral infection. The titer of the virus show that temperature of 41 C acts as an inhibitory agent on HSV-1 and VSV virus replication in Vero cells.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
