Abstract: Both the National Asthma Education Prevention Program (NAEPP) guidelines for asthma and the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) guidelines for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) stress the importance of treating acute bronchospasm.
