Title: Aortic pseudoaneurysm secondary to celiac plexus block. Author: Sett SS, Taylor DC. Journal: Ann Vasc Surg; 1991 Jan; 5(1):88-91. PubMed ID: 1997085. Abstract: Traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the abdominal aorta has been infrequently reported in the literature. We report a case of an infected pseudoaneurysm of the supraceliac aorta which we believe to be secondary to celiac plexus block performed for pain from chronic pancreatitis. The aneurysm was successfully repaired using a Dacron graft through a thoracoabdominal approach. The possible mechanism of aortic injury from celiac plexus block is discussed.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
