PubMed ID: 20055284. Abstract: Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is one of the mainstay procedure treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases. Life-threatening complications such as pneumoperitoneum, pneumoretroperitoneum, pneumomediastinum, subcutaneous emphysema and pneumothorax related to this procedure rarely occur and only a few cases are reported in English literature.
