  • Title: Comparative in vitro antifungal susceptibility studies with 30 serotype A and B isolates of Candida albicans.
    Author: Shadomy S, Shadomy HJ.
Journal: Diagn Microbiol Infect Dis; 1991; 14(1):21-2. PubMed ID: 2013207.
    Abstract:
Fifteen isolates, each of serotypes A and B of Candida albicans, were tested in vitro against flucytosine, amphotericin B, and cilofungin. All 15 serotype A isolates were susceptible to all three drugs. Three serotype B isolates were resistant to flucytosine. Two isolates, one serotype A and one serotype B, had elevated amphotericin B and cilofungin MICs of 5 micrograms/ml.
