The effects of chronic melatonin treatment on glucocorticoid binding sites in hippocampus, hypothalamus and pituitary were investigated in rats, subjected to long-term manipulation of circulating corticosterone concentrations. 2. Melatonin treatment decreased the affinity of glucocorticoid receptors. 3.
