Title: [Nonsurgical removal of the embolized catheter fragments from the heart and great vessels]. Author: Moriyama Y, Morishita Y, Hashiguchi M, Kawashima S, Saigenji H, Shimokawa S, Yuda T, Toyohira H, Taira A. Journal: Kyobu Geka; 1991 Apr; 44(4):305-8. PubMed ID: 2038159. Abstract: Embolized catheter fragments in the heart and great vessels were successfully removed in seven patients by nonsurgical techniques. All procedures for the retrieval were completed without complications or difficulty using instruments such as multipurpose grasping forceps, stone basket, loopsnare and myocardial biopsy catheters. Embolized catheter fragments should be removed promptly before fatal complications develop, and can be taken off safely and simply by nonsurgical technique.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
