  • Title: [Risk of gastroduodenal ulcer complication by acute hemorrhage].
    Author: Bachev II.
Journal: Ter Arkh; 1991; 63(2):12-4. PubMed ID: 2048002.
    Abstract:
Altogether 945 patients with gastroduodenal ulcer were examined. Of these, 256 patients had ulcer complicated by acute hemorrhage and 689 without hemorrhage. Patients in whom ulcer was on the posterior wall of the duodenum or on the lesser curvature of the stomach and those with sizable ulcers, multiple ulcers and ulcer penetration to the pancreas and liver were distinguished. The presence in the patients of risk factors may provide evidence in favour of elective surgery.
