  • Title: [CT findings in 49 cases of primary orbital meningioma].
    Author: Song GX.
Journal: Zhonghua Yan Ke Za Zhi; 1990 Sep; 26(5):304-6. PubMed ID: 2086145.
    Abstract:
CT is an important method to demonstrate orbital tumors. 49 cases of primary orbital meningioma were shown by CT as of pyramidal shape or as tubular enlargement of the optic nerve. The CT numbers were +48-+108 Hu, and in 1 case, the enlarged optic nerve was of bony density. In 34 cases, the tumors were limited in the orbit, and the others extended into the cranial cavity or the temporal fossa. The relationship between the initial site of the tumor and the CT features, and the differential diagnosis were discussed.
