Title: [The age-related characteristics in the regulation of intraocular pressure in monkeys]. Author: Chanchikov GF, Beriia FE. Journal: Oftalmol Zh; 1990; (5):303-5. PubMed ID: 2089331. Abstract: Examinations of 52 monkeys Cynocephalus hamadryas, aged from 10 days to 28 years, have shown that with age the content of hydrocortisone in the aqueous and vitreous decreases. Besides this, the age doesn't influence a true intraocular pressure. There is correlation between hydrocortisone content in the liquid media of the eye and aqueous production: the less there is hydrocortisone, the lower is aqueous production. With age, the Becker's coefficient and the coefficient of trophicity increase.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
