Abstract: The working conditions of female beet growers and their health effects were studied. Dust, chemical substances, physical strain and the forced working posture were among the occupational factors producing adverse health effects. Contact with pesticides is believed to be the major factor in the development of chronic pathology and temporary disability among female beet-growers.
