Title: [Papillary cystadenocarcinoma of the salivary glands: clinicopathologic analysis of 22 cases]. Author: Chen XM. Journal: Zhonghua Kou Qiang Yi Xue Za Zhi; 1990 Mar; 25(2):102-4, 126. PubMed ID: 2119985. Abstract: A clinicopathologic observation of 22 cases of papillary cystadenocarcinoma of the salivary glands was made. Of these, 17 cases were males and 5 females. The average age of the patients was 37.1 years, with a range of 17 to 61 years. The mean duration of the disease was about four years. The majority of the carcinoma were located in parotid (72.7%). Histopathologically, they were classified by the authors into two types, that is, well-differentiated type and poorly-differentiated type. The results showed that recurrence and metastasis of lymph nodes of the tumour were closely related to the degree of their differentiation.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
