    The transfer of hDHFR gene by natural transformation between Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis cells has been studied, as well as intrageneric gene transfer in Bacillus subtilis. The gene was transferred by natural transformation in bacterial cells and included into the chromosome or the plasmid.
