Title: Actinomyces graevenitzii bacteremia in a patient with alcoholic liver cirrhosis. Author: Hwang SS, Park SD, Jang IH, Uh Y, Yoon KJ, Kim HY. Journal: Anaerobe; 2011 Apr; 17(2):87-9. PubMed ID: 21421069. Abstract: We report the first case of Actinomyces graevenitzii septicemia in a patient with alcoholic liver cirrhosis. It was identified as A. graevenitzii by morphologic and 16S rRNA sequencing. Even though A. graevenitzii is rarely associated with human infections, it should be considered as a potential causative agent of bacteremia.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
