Title: [Determination of the activity of minor forms of pulmonary tuberculosis in adolescents in specialized sanatoria]. Author: Sukhobokova AN, Shilova LP, Peĭzner EM, Ivanova RG, Kosacheva NS. Journal: Probl Tuberk; 1990; (6):35-8. PubMed ID: 2145573. Abstract: Koch's testing supplemented by a series of clinical and laboratory tests which could be made in a specialized tuberculosis sanatorium for adolescents demonstrated its diagnostic value. In 13.8% of the cases it happened to be positive, thus proving the activity of a tuberculous process and indicating the need for further specific therapy. If Koch's test data are questionable, a follow-up of the patient seems to be necessary when the preventive treatment is over. It is advisable to recommend Koch's test to be widely used in the practice of specialized sanatoria for children and adolescents.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
