Title: [Postoperative ventral hernia in cancer patients]. Author: Zimin IuI, Chichevatov DA. Journal: Vopr Onkol; 2011; 57(1):102-6. PubMed ID: 21598718. Abstract: Surgical patients with cancer of the stomach, colon and genitals (316) were followed up. Frequencies of postoperative ventral hernia and certain factors of their development were evaluated. It was found that surgical complication occurred in 29.4%, aged 4-192 months. Hernia was mostly registered in gynecological and colorectal cancer patients who had had laparotomy and radiotherapy in their case history.
