Title: [The functional and structural changes in the hematoparenchymatous barrier of the skeletal muscle during starvation]. Author: Berezovskiĭ VA, Nosar' VI, Kornitskaia AI, Briuzgina TS, Kravchenko EIa, Kovalenko TN, Finagin LK, Litovka IG. Journal: Fiziol Zh SSSR Im I M Sechenova; 1990 Feb; 76(2):184-91. PubMed ID: 2163910. Abstract: The data obtained suggest that an increasing oxygen permeability of hematoparenchymatous barrier is a result of structural and chemical changes of biomembranes in rabbits after 7 days of starvation. A significant increase in desaturation of lipids and phospholipids, a decrease of cholesterol level in cytoplasmic and basal membranes were shown along with modifications of vascular endothelium of a metabolic type.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
