The clinical significance of hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia will be critically judged by means of the data of the latest research works. All the important classes of substances, available for the pharmacotherapy of hyperlipoproteinemias, will be discussed regarding their mechanisms of action, their efficacy and side effects.
