    Abstract:
    In 2009, 8 964 salmonellosis cases were reported, the incidence was 23,5 per 100 000 population. Among them 8 847 cases were intestinal and 117 were extraintestinal. No deaths reported due to salmonellosis. In total 162 outbreaks were reported involving 1 580 cases. The most common type of outbreaks were household outbreaks. The most frequently isolated serotype in outbreaks and single cases was S. Enteritidis. Like in previous years the highest incidence was in children aged 2 (266,8 per 100 000 population).
