Title: Three faces of costal exostoses: case series and review of literature. Author: Assefa D, Murphy RC, Bergman K, Atlas AB. Journal: Pediatr Emerg Care; 2011 Dec; 27(12):1188-91. PubMed ID: 22158283. Abstract: The 3 cases presented here involve 3 unusual and different complications of costal exostoses: spontaneous hemothorax, pneumothorax, and pericardial effusion. Complications of costal exostoses are rare, but hemothorax, pneumothorax, and pericardial effusions can occur.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
