Title: [Folate intake in Poland on the basis of literature from the last ten years (2000-2010)]. Author: Sicińska E, Wyka J. Journal: Rocz Panstw Zakl Hig; 2011; 62(3):247-56. PubMed ID: 22171513. Abstract: The aim of this study was to review the folate intake among adults in Poland published during last decade. The average dietary folate intake among adults (18-96 years old) was in range 110-352 microg/person/day. Among young non-pregnant women (18-35 years old) the folate intake was on the level 127-315 microg/person/day and 18-25% of them used supplements of folic acid. The folate intake among elderly (aged 60 and above) was on the level 133-284 microg and only 13-14% of them declared using supplements of folic acid.
