  • Title: [Disseminated candidiasis in a calf. Case report].
    Author: Roth M, Weber A.
Journal: Tierarztl Prax; 1990 Aug; 18(4):339-41. PubMed ID: 2219102.
    Abstract:
The pathological-anatomical and histological examinations of different organs from a calf that died at the age of 9 weeks indicated a disseminated candidiasis. Candida albicans was isolated from brain, lung, liver, spleen, kidney, intestinal lymph nodes and small intestinal contents. The antibiotics administered to the calf by the owner probably initiated the disseminated candidiasis.
