PubMed ID: 22196261. Abstract: Internal herniation through a defect in the broad ligament is a rare condition. A 42-year-old multiparous woman presented with a long-standing history of right-sided abdominal pain. Laparoscopy revealed herniation of small bowel through a defect in the right broad ligament. The hernia was reduced, and the defect was corrected laparoscopically.
