Abstract: Superior mesenteric artery syndrome is a condition caused by the compression of the third part of the duodenum between the superior mesenteric artery and the aorta. We present the clinical case of a patient, a female, 18 years old, with history of two days' evolution characterized by postprandial epigastric colic, accompanied by nausea and intractable vomiting.
