Title: ABO blood-typing of bloodstains by dot-ELISA method. Author: Ito S, Matsui K, Suzuki K, Matsuo Y, Matsumoto H. Journal: Nihon Hoigaku Zasshi; 1990 Jun; 44(3):199-204. PubMed ID: 2232328. Abstract: The ABH antigens of bloodstains which were effectively solubilized in phosphate-buffered saline by crushing in a mortar were detected on a nitrocellulose membrane by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The analyses for characterization showed that the extracted substances consisted of various components of the red cell with molecular weights of more than 30,000. ABO types of some aged bloodstains were determined by this simple procedure. This method is a useful tool for determining various blood-groups from bloodstain.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
