Title: Transhemangioma ablation of hepatocellular carcinoma. Author: Pua U. Journal: Cardiovasc Intervent Radiol; 2012 Dec; 35(6):1515-8. PubMed ID: 22722718. Abstract: Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a well-established treatment modality in the treatment of early hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) [1]. Safe trajectory of the RFA probe is crucial in decreasing collateral tissue damage and unwarranted probe transgression. As a percutaneous technique, however, the trajectory of the needle is sometimes constrained by the available imaging plane. The presence of a hemangioma beside an HCC is uncommon but poses the question of safety related to probe transgression. We hereby describe a case of transhemangioma ablation of a dome HCC.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
