Title: [High-resolution CT in evaluation of temporal bone trauma]. Author: Touei H, Furuse M, Nakashima N, Ohsawa T, Yokoyama K, Takata Y. Journal: Rinsho Hoshasen; 1990 Oct; 35(11):1375-80. PubMed ID: 2277419. Abstract: High-resolution CT (HRCT) examinations were performed in 22 patients with temporal bone trauma. The CT findings were correlated with the clinical signs and symptoms, routine head CT findings were also examined. HRCT was able to demonstrate fracture lines, ossicular chain disruptions, facial nerve injuries, and hemotympanums in majority of cases.
